Oh, you talented friends! I think I gained an ulcer this week! I couldn't believe all of the FUN, INNOVATIVE and BEAUTIFUL furniture makeovers that were submitted for #fridaysfurniturefix! Seriously, the thought of selecting just one made me sick to my stomach. ;(
If you happened to miss the entire collection from last week, you can see them here.
And... here are our favorite picks for this week!
Week 5: Friday's Furniture Fix Features
Coleen from 58 Water Street was enamored with Delicious And DIY's Southwestern Table Makeover. Anam took the plainest light oak side table and created this stunning cross between function and art. Did you notice the hardware!? I just love them... Head on over to Delicious And DIY to see the full reveal!
Lucy from Patina Paradise chose this Battle Scar Plaid Side Table from Thistle Key Lane. Michelle didn't use a stencil for her pattern. Folks, she created that plaid visual with painters tape... by hand! I'm enamored with those spindly legs and just the right amount of distressing in all the right places. I'd like to pull up a comfy reading chair and hunker down right there. You can see Michelle's full tutorial right here!
Nancy from Slightly Coastal selected a lovely pair of Slipcovered Wingback chairs by Jill from Sew A Fine Seam. Jill didn't just create slip covers for one chair, she created them for TWO. I have such an appreciation for those of you that can sew. I lack that talent and the patience. Jill, I bow down to YOU! :) These look incredible!
Stacy from Anastasia Vintage was WOW'd with Meredith from The Palette Muse's Refinished Chair. Meredith did a beautiful job demonstrating how a drop cloth can be an inexpensive alternative to upholstery fabric. YOU really need to see the before... what a makeover!
And this next piece spoke to ME! Most people wouldn't attempt to paint an antique hutch of this age. But ReFind Design nailed it! From top to bottom, I'm smitten with her color choices, the hardware and her technique. The execution was flawless... this piece looks like it belongs in a Ballard Design magazine cover!
Friday's Furniture Fix also features the furniture makeover who has received the most clicks. This week it goes to Susan from Saw Nail And Paint! The before and after are simply startling! Run over to see the entire journey for this Vintage Chest Makeover. I'm in ah!
Congratulations to those of you that have been featured! Please help yourself to our feature button here.. Thank you to all of you who participated in this week's Friday's Furniture Fix! We hope that you'll join us again this week!.. A new party starts now!
